Chess Club, sponsored by Mr. DiNatale, is such a
popular club that three sessions are planned throughout the year to
accommodate all the interested students.
Open to third, fourth, and
fifth grade students, the club is divided into two groups,
beginning/intermediate, and advanced, and meets in the library after
school.
Students learn the fundamentals and strategies of the game, as
well as good sportsmanship when an opponent announces, “Checkmate!”
